Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of the Terms

Please read these Terms carefully before using the App. By downloading, installing, accessing or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, for example within the App or by updating the "Last updated" date above. By continuing to use the App after changes become effective, you accept the updated Terms.

2. No medical advice

SkinAddict may provide information and tools related to skincare, cosmetic products, habits, and routines. This information is intended for general informational and educational purposes only and is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

The App does not replace a consultation with a dermatologist, doctor, or other qualified healthcare professional. You should always consult a qualified professional regarding any questions about your skin, health, medical conditions, or before starting, changing, or stopping any treatment, product, or routine.

If you experience severe or worrying symptoms, or think you may have a medical emergency, contact your doctor or emergency services (such as 112 or 911) immediately.

3. Registration and eligibility

Some features of the App may require you to create or update an account. When doing so, you may be asked to provide certain information, such as your email address or other details. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it updated.

To use the App, you must be at least 13 years old, or (if you are in the European Union or a country with a higher age of digital consent) at least the minimum age required by your local law (often 16). If you are under that age, your parent or legal guardian must read and accept these Terms on your behalf, and by using the App you confirm that they have done so.

4. Your use of the App

You are responsible for your use of the App and for any content you submit or create through it. You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.

In particular, you agree that you will not:

• Sell, rent, lease, loan, sublicense, distribute, or otherwise transfer the App or any rights to it.
• Copy, modify, translate, adapt, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App (except where this is explicitly allowed by law and you have asked us first).
• Bypass or interfere with any security or access-control features of the App.
• Use the App to build a competing product or service, or to collect data for a competing product or service.
• Upload or share content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, threatening, abusive, hateful, discriminatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
• Upload or transmit any viruses, malicious code, or anything designed to harm or interfere with the App, devices, or networks.
• Use the App for spam, advertising, or other unauthorized commercial purposes.
• Infringe or violate the rights of others, such as privacy, publicity, or intellectual property rights.

If you engage in any prohibited use, we may, at our discretion, suspend or terminate your access to the App without prior notice.

5. Children's privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13, or under the higher age of digital consent where applicable. If you believe a child has provided information through the App without appropriate consent, please contact us at admin@indie-corners.com. We will take reasonable steps to delete such information and, where relevant, any related account.

6. License to use the App

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license to download, install, and use the App on devices that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.

All intellectual property rights in and to the App, including its content, design, code, and trademarks, are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the App.

7. Subscriptions and in-app purchases

SkinAddict may offer paid features or subscriptions. Purchases and subscriptions made within the iOS App are processed by Apple via your Apple ID and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions and payment rules.

We use RevenueCat to help manage subscriptions and entitlements. Information about your purchases and subscription status may be shared with RevenueCat as necessary to enable these features.

Subscription options (for example monthly or yearly) and prices are shown in the App at the time of purchase. Unless otherwise indicated, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, and your Apple ID will be charged in accordance with Apple's rules. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings on your device.

Refunds for in-app purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple according to their refund policies. If you wish to request a refund, you must do so through Apple's support or purchase history tools.

8. Account and device security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your device, your Apple ID, and any login credentials you use in connection with the App, as well as for all activities that occur under your account.

If you believe your account or device has been compromised or used without your permission, you should immediately secure your device, change your credentials where relevant, and contact us at admin@indie-corners.com.

9. Third-party services

The App may rely on or interact with third-party services, such as:

• Supabase – for backend storage, database, or authentication.
• RevenueCat – for subscription and purchase management.
• Appmetrica – for analytics and performance insights.
• Apple – for app distribution and payments.

These third parties process data in accordance with their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control and are not responsible for their services, content, or policies. You should review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party services you use or access through the App.

10. Use of mobile devices and carrier charges

Your mobile operator's normal rates and fees, such as data charges and text messaging fees, may apply when you use the App. You are responsible for any such charges.

11. "As is" disclaimer

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we make no warranties or representations of any kind, express or implied, including (but not limited to) warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, or availability.

We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or free from errors or harmful components, or that any defects will be corrected.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the App.

To the extent allowed by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the App will be limited to the greater of (a) the amount you have paid to us for use of the App during the twelve (12) months prior to the claim, or (b) one hundred (100) US dollars (or equivalent in your local currency).

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (for example, certain consumer protection or product liability rules).

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SkinAddictLab and any related partners, contractors, and service providers from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

• Your use of or access to the App;
• Your violation of these Terms; or
• Your violation of any rights of another person or entity.

14. Changes, suspension, and termination

We may modify, update, or discontinue the App (or any part of it) at any time, temporarily or permanently, with or without notice. Your use of the App does not guarantee that any particular features or content will always be available.

We may also suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, including if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms or applicable law.

15. Feedback

We appreciate feedback, ideas, or suggestions about the App. If you choose to send us feedback, you agree that we may use it freely for any purpose, without compensation or obligation to you, and that we are not required to keep it confidential.

16. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or the App will be governed by the laws of your country of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would result in the application of the laws of another jurisdiction.

If a dispute arises, we encourage you to contact us first so we can attempt to resolve it informally. If we cannot resolve the dispute amicably, the dispute may be submitted to the competent courts in your country of residence, unless applicable law provides you with a different mandatory venue.

17. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be applied to the maximum extent permitted and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of that right or provision.

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a reorganization, merger, sale of assets, or similar transaction.
