What is Alcohol Denat.?

SD Alcohol, or Specially Denatured Alcohol, is a type of denatured ethanol used as a solvent and astringent in skincare products. It is ethanol rendered undrinkable by the addition of denaturants, allowing it to evaporate quickly and aid in the delivery of other ingredients. Commonly found in toners, cleansers, and serums, it provides a drying and tightening effect on the skin.
